🌳 Today, Honourable member of @UMahilaayog (State Women Commission, Uttar Pradesh) Mrs @renugaurbjp participated in anti-deforestation @RedTapeMovement organised by @janaadharnews in #Firozabad. She tied a red tape on a neem tree and delivered the message to protect the environment, trees, forests, biodiversity, habitats, ecological niches, and Nature. She appealed to act for Nature to cope with the climate crisis. 🎀
Deputy Superintendent of Police Ms Chanchal Tyagi, District Minorities Welfare Officer Ms Nidhi, and Brand Ambassador of #RedTapeMovement Ms @AkashaAnam actively participated. 👥
Thank You, respected Renu Gaur Mam and participants. 🙏💐😊
When the world faces epidemics and pandemics due to zoonotic spillovers caused by deforestation and fragmented forests, such awareness-driven green steps are rays of hope. 🌿
#ClimateAction #SaveTrees #Environment #TreeCareDay #NatureCareDay

🌟 Heartiest congratulations to @doctorsoumya on being elected a Fellow of the @RoyalSociety — one of science's most prestigious honours! 🇮🇳
From leading @ICMRDELHI to guiding the world as @WHO Chief Scientist, her brilliance has always served humanity first. 🏥🌍
🌾 Her late father, Bharat Ratna Prof. M.S. Swaminathan — the Father of India's Green Revolution — was also a Fellow of the Royal Society. Together, they make history as India's first father-daughter FRS duo. A legacy not of power, but of purpose. 💚
A legend. A pioneer. A beacon. 👏

"The road to peace is still long, but we have begun it. One of our hands holds a weapon; our other hand is extended in peace." - @netanyahu
In Indian philosophy, #Gita, peace isn't just about putting down a weapon. Real peace is like a balance. While one hand stays strong to protect our home, the other hand stays open to offer friendship.
It suggests that true peace isn't "weakness" or simply running away from a fight—it is the strength to do what is right.
In Indian philosophy, this is often seen as the balance between Shakti (power) and Shanti (peace).
It’s like a lamp in a windless place: the flame stays steady because it is protected, but its purpose is to give light to everyone.
You (Israel) aren't choosing between being a warrior or a peacemaker; you are choosing to be both at the same time to keep the world in balance. That's Great.

🌐 Nature doesn’t need us. We need Nature.
🌱 We aren’t "saving the planet" when we plant a tree or protect a forest; we are saving our own seat at the table.
👣 It’s time to move from being conquerors of the wild to being its most dedicated guardians.
🌎 Let’s leave a world that is green, not just gray.

👥 Citizens in times of war are not powerless—they are the quiet architects of peace. ☮️
• Choose truth over propaganda
• Protect nature, water, and shared resources
• Support dialogue, not division
• Help the vulnerable—beyond borders
• Preserve culture, humanity & empathy
• Raise voices for ceasefire, not hatred
🍁 Wars are fought by states, but peace is sustained by people. 🕊️

Tonight, my sick parents sat in darkness—not out of helplessness, but hope.
With my son beside them, they observed #EarthHour at home. 🌍🕯️
Three generations. One silent promise. That even in fragility, we can protect what sustains us.
The planet doesn’t need perfection—just participation. 💚
If they can do it, so can you. 💛🕯️

A true tribute to the great scientist #RosalindFranklin by @ramyakannan in @the_hindu.
Rosalind Franklin was never awarded a Nobel Prize. She died of ovarian cancer on April 16, 1958, at the age of 37. The @NobelPrize in Physiology or Medicine for the discovery of the molecular structure of DNA (the double helix) was awarded in 1962 to James Watson, Francis Crick, and Maurice Wilkins.
Franklin's crucial X-ray diffraction work (especially Photo 51) and data were essential to that discovery, but Nobel Prizes are not awarded posthumously (though a limited exception was later introduced in 1974 for cases where the winner dies between announcement and ceremony).
Many historians, scientists, and advocates argue she deserved recognition and would likely have shared the prize had she lived.
#Photo51 is one of the most iconic and historically significant images in science — an X-ray diffraction pattern of DNA captured by Rosalind Franklin and her PhD student Raymond Gosling at King's College London. Photo 51 was part of a series Franklin numbered; this one stood out for its sharpness and detail. It provided the clearest evidence at the time of DNA's helical structure, with precise geometric parameters that were crucial for James Watson and Francis Crick to build and confirm their double-helix model. It shows the B-form of DNA. This is the predominant, biologically relevant form of DNA in living cells (as opposed to the drier "A-form").
The famous "X" pattern (often called a Maltese cross or cruciform pattern) indicates a helical structure.
Photo 51 matched perfectly with Watson and Crick's model: a right-handed double helix with antiparallel strands, bases inside, and sugar-phosphate backbone outside.
In January 1953, Franklin (who was leaving King's College) asked Gosling to share prints with Maurice Wilkins. Wilkins then showed it (without Franklin's direct permission or knowledge) to Watson, who later described the moment as electrifying — it instantly confirmed the helix and provided the exact numbers needed.
On 25 April 1953, three related papers appeared in @Nature:
– Watson & Crick: DNA structure model
– Wilkins and colleagues: supporting diffraction work
– Franklin & Gosling: experimental diffraction data
Many consider Photo 51 one of the most important photographs ever taken, as it unlocked the molecular basis of heredity — though Franklin received limited credit during her lifetime.
Franklin is now recognized as one of the key scientists behind the discovery of DNA’s structure, though that recognition came largely posthumously. 🧬

🌳 What the world can learn from the Chipko Movement:
→ Non-violent resistance can protect nature and communities
→ Villagers — especially women — stood between forests & commercial logging
→ "Hugging trees" became a symbol of ecological courage
→ Ecology is inseparable from livelihood
→ True environmentalism grows from the grassroots
💚 In 1970s India, ordinary people wrapped their arms around Himalayan trees — and changed the world.
🌍 Nature isn't only protected by laws.
It's protected by people who love it enough to stand for it.
