@MooseAnony34735 @AlexHollings52 A) Gripen greatly reduces reliance on USA. Way more control over manufacturing & integration.
B) USA can unilaterally block future F-35 upgrades.
C) Everything is harder in the cold. Gripen is explicitly built to run off remote, frozen airstrips with minimal infrastructure.
