@AlexNowrasteh Your reasoning is flawed (2 of ....)
(2) Your idea of what is a politically motivated act of terrorism (murder only) is far outside the usual understandings of what constitutes terrorism. Deranged teenagers (left or right) blindly shooting up schools for attention? Not so much.
@AlexNowrasteh Your reasoning is flawed (1 of ....)
(1) Death is but *A* metric of violence. Ease of data collection doesn't make it the best, or even a good isolated metric. Violent mobs that disrupt life/business without killing are ignored by your metric.
@AlexNowrasteh Should a deranged black teenager who hated himself and everyone and randomly shot up his school be included in your tally of right-motivated political killer/terrorist?
Your methodology is fatally flawed. Death is an objective but not comprehensive measure of violence.
@tomscott99@Simone_Biles@Riley_Gaines_ Pretty sure that's not how that went down, but feel free to post a link to what you are talking about.
Nice deflection though.
@ashalaaylay (2 of 2) Gaines explained how the parallel of being forced to accept a male body in the locker room. This is not an "innocent thing" that should be overlooked. These are ways that women and girls' rights to security are violated.
@ashalaaylay Have you heard her explanation?
To my knowledge, Nassar perpetrated his evil through "legit" channels of treating gymnasts. This provided him opportunity in situations that "started innocently" and could even be confusing. This is exactly how it went on for so long. (1 of 2)
Why are SA @sciam articles written by someone w/no scientific creds? (@tarahaelle: English & Photojourno degs)
Also, why has this article been altered significantly w/no ed notes, still showing the 3/20/23 publish date?

@CaloriesProper UGL? Wegovy is ~5X usual antidiabetic Ozempic dose (2.4 v 0.5). Weight loss maxes out ~12-15mo, regain if stopped. Even one additional year maintenance w/treatment has not been shown. Cost aside, there's safety of chronically elevated GLP-1 to consider. For life?
Last month marked one decade of obesity as a disease. Progress?

Today's darling is $1000/mo. Wegovy and all indications are -- kaching! -- indefinite continuation of treatment or regain the weight. Belviq was quietly removed from the market.

@grant_dillon@nytimes@thespan Ozempic or Wegovy? It's unlikely the common diabetes dose of Ozempic caused "malnutrition". Nausea etc. are not uncommon side effects, even of 0.5 mg Ozempic dosage.
@AboveAvJoes@sharm629@LeilaniDowding At this point, the BA2 and down the line are no longer SARS viruses -- the pneumonia death numbers (or lack thereof) as well as ICU occupancy tells this story. Hospitalizations are useless metric because over half are there for other things. It's a total mess :(
