@jorgeluccio@Ovniologia01 i mean yes? - they are used for tracking weather - and any hobbyist can literally go buy a high altitude mylar balloon and attach a light payload to it. So ... that would make these... very common - in exactly the way we would expect to see them - in the atmosphere around earth?
@NOBODY_4_POTUS@visionergeo Maybe I missed it, but what's the strategy? Right now Iran is keeping the strait closed with drones they launch with hundreds of miles of range. How does securing the southern islands do anything to halt that, and get insurers comfortable with sending tankers back through?

This powerful video is three hours long. It is a concise and professionally edited recording of the day-long event that took place a few weeks ago to official "birth" the Earth Regeneration Fund.
The event was the Bioregional Regenerative Finance Forum co-hosted by Brian Puppa and Susan Bosak of The Legacy Project with Penny L. Heiple and myself of the Design School for Regenerating Earth. You can share this video with anyone and everyone.

We had more than 50 people join our kick-off of the Bioregional Leaders Guild. It was powerful!
I can feel the depths of coherence that we are about to create together across many diverse geographies.
If you want to learn how to regenerate bioregions, this is a great opportunity.
Susan Bosak and I are hosting a special session in the Re-Imagining Education Conference with the Ecoversities Alliance.

Just finished listening to this awesome episode with @SamanthaPower_ about Bioregional Finance.
Will be reading the BioFi book next, but here are my takeaways from the interview:
1. Bioregions are defined by hard lines (rocks & bodies of water), soft lines (flora & fauna / migrational patterns), and human lines (both indigenous & modern cultural alignment to place). This was a really clarifying explanation that Samantha attributes to @CascadiaBrandon.
2. The 4 types of Bioregional Financing Facilities: Trust, Venture Studio, Investment, & Bank. This framework really clicked for me. I spend a lot of time thinking about how to make Regeneration a viable occupation, and this infrastructure I think would bring together so many of the key pieces.
3. Humans as a keystone species--yes!!
4. Bioregional scale Eco Credits with @regen_network: this is 🗝️. Ihave thought for awhile that bioregions are one of the best ways to contextualize the value of eco credits. Excited to learn more about this collab. Nice to see @erde_kette on the biofi team.
5. Nomads, like myself, should pick the places they resonate with, that they have an ecological relationship with, and engage with the Bioregional efforts in those places. This was good advice (& a great question by @TerezaBizkova, i think?) because this connection to place is something I struggle with.
Great episode, looking forward to the next!
@KommunistShadow @IballsInah@simpatico771 Must be embarrassing to see Russian land being lost during the big "counter-assault" in Kursk, even despite a 3:1 Russian-to-Ukrainian troop ratio.
Maybe as uncomfortable as seeing the only tactical nukes exploding are ammunition depots on Russian Soil?
