Motivated to start a game design youtube channel just to offset the amount of action game boomers who are terrible, biased and plain dishonest at analyzing games and their mechanics. #NINJAGAIDEN4
@EBluemage@SaltSudoku@thefezhat I have a NTSC-J X360 and the entire CAVE library on it, cleared most Touhou games on Lunatic, and have played too many arcade & doujin shmups to even count. Easily thousands of hours into shmups.
None of them come close to this "reverse bullet hell" genre firepower.
@ZahidAliJeelani This is a red flag actually. Why try to forcibly cater to everyone like this? How can the move-set work properly universally if inertia can be toggled; don't things get broken or feel sloppy?🤔
@Coma3366 I wanna struggle and experiment and figure it all out on my own so I'm gonna mute everything about the game on the internet now. Welp. Anyways, thanks again.
@Coma3366 Sounds awesome. I like both challenges, I have a gut feeling that I'm gonna love this game in the end. Already downloaded it but I gotta finish a few quick game projects first. Can't wait.
@MasterNinjaRyu_@xaerock Thank you both. I bought it, seems like I would like it. I've been afraid that the game is purely about grind and stats and the combat would be more of an afterthought and too undermined by that. Seems like that's not the case then, but it's a more balanced mix. Great!
@VoiceOfYourHead Have you played NG games? This "you can dodge them with spacing" is so out of touch point to make. As if you can't do that in NG4, and as if it was any better in the old games. Enemies don't "completely magnetize to you" either.

I'm not touching movement and am mashing X here.
You don't 'need' "magnetism" when everything is within your reach, the arenas are 10 times smaller, pushback is smaller, AI behaves in a way that they constantly run to be very close to you, etc. (1/3) #NINJAGAIDEN @LocalBtnMasher
@LeeYin_ Ah yes, sorry I misread your comment. Yes, that is true, I specifically say in the video that as long as you are soft-locked (which is practically always in combat), the movement stays the same.
Video is OUT!

@LeeYin_ But in your example enemy is not soft-locked in the first video (and the one on the left). You could turn 90 degrees and attack, and it would not go towards the enemy. You can see this by the lack of the red marker.
