@morose_the29101@reidspr@mkraju Please read through the 15 states and look at their actual policies. The vast majority of them do require proof when voting in that State for the first time. They just don't require it after you register because you've already been verified.
@admcrlsn It's normal for the party leaders to hold off on an official endorsement especially with how close the convention is. I wouldn't be surprised if he officially endorses her in a speech at the convention or shortly beforehand to build hype
@jonfavs I'd argue that trying to prove people wrong with macroeconomic data will further push those people away from trusting empirical evidence.
People think of the economy at a micro level, that's where you have to meet them. That's one reason Bernie's message resonated so well in '16
@dabit3 This guy is going through it. He's probably on some Chinese site using Chrome's broken translate in a desperate attempt to fix a bug reported by two users months ago. Stack Overflow had no answers and told him he was stupid for asking his question.
@OVO_Torres Needs to be in history books complete with colored depictions. Iconic battle with significant political ramifications. Its precursor fight, The Sametrius Offensive at East Wake Middle, also deserves a mention
@mattficke@kelseyhightower I don't think the GDP figure accounts for profits in securities, only profits from services those banks offer (loan servicing, brokerage fees, etc.)
There's also the huge caveat that no "profit" is realized in the stock market until you sell it.
@kelseyhightower@AllenSwackhamer I think the macroeconomic view is that it's zero sum on the whole, but with how obfuscated our financial sector is it's hard to say
This video explains how some parts of our system works. It's about as complicated as distributed networking :) https://t.co/QGRtOpC5ej
@kelseyhightower@AllenSwackhamer Stock transactions/capital gains doesn't show up in GDP. In the macro sense those are asset transfers and not a true "purchase". Companies contribution to GDP is their revenue generated from any goods/service they provide within that country.
@TheRealAdamG@Juicecountyeth If that "different Prometheus-compatible storage and query engine" is Thanos, then I think it'll help y'all out a lot. I've used it at a couple different places before and loved it.
@ahmetb To those asking about where to start, it's in his bio: Kubernetes (start with containers if you aren't familiar with those)
I liken it to the Linux of the Cloud. It's the foundation for most modern cloud architectures and you can run it anywhere.
@DL_138@plainly_andy@NateSilver538 While it doesn't look stuff up on the internet in real time, it's trained on news and historical data. It also definitely has models you can put it in with prompt suggestions.
It definitely seems to have modes
@Segidream@kuabp2008@catturd2@jonfavs I did read that, all it's saying is that when Hunter dropped it off (in 2019) it wasn't tampered with.
It's literally reinforcing the argument it was tampered with after he dropped it off.
@Segidream@kuabp2008@catturd2@jonfavs Sure, but the only new info we got is Twitters handling of it. The laptops content has already been looked at and nothing was found. If anything there's evidence of tampering to drum up a conspiracy
@Segidream@kuabp2008@catturd2@jonfavs The entire thread was about Twitter's handling of the story, which only exposed how hard content moderation is and involves a lot of people with differing opinions.
@kuabp2008@catturd2@jonfavs Yes corruption at the highest levels of government where according to this firebrand "journalist", the government did... nothing?
