Groundbreaking study by @MicroGenDX demonstrated improved outcomes for kidney stone surgery patients receiving #NGS-guided treatment. It not only can prevent infections but also champions antimicrobial stewardship—a key focus for World AMR Awareness Week. https://t.co/FSizrjH4Qa
@DGlaucomflecken@UHC Special shoutout to the ghouls at @ProvidencePlan / @providence who rejected my wife's claim because "it isn't medically necessary to heal a bone that was cut". Would be a shame for them to make the Times again for putting patients last. @jbsgreenberg
@ReptileRhett@ShellyGaynor All for whatever works. Here is what my header and an example latex chunk look like though, in case you want to try that out. Never had issues with the numbering getting off.
@_RachaelDempsey I was recently introduced to pluralsight. A little foggy on the details because I have access through my work, but they keep a curated set of tutorial videos on a variety of topics. Python, R, SQL, you name it. The lessons are broken up into small chunks, which is also nice.
The NMSU Chile Pepper Breeding Program is currently looking for a PhD student who will be working on #GWAS and #GS of nutritional quality and yield-related traits in peppers through a USDA funded project. Please share or RT. #gradschool#chilepepper
@ShellyGaynor Great work! Any plans to add information related to tuition/fees charged to PhD students or health insurance benefits offered? I would not be surprised to learn that annual stipend is linked to health benefits and those getting paid less are also getting a bad deal there.
Unpopular opinion: We are being too nice and PC and it's getting people killed. Some people barely passed bio, but we are supposed to pretend that their opinion on covid and vaccines is just as important as an epidemiologist. /1
@bielleogy Two that I like and are conveniently on spotify, @sciencevs (shorter) and @SkepticsGuide (longer). Hours of good content between the two. Skeptics guide hits general news in science across many fields of science, including those mentioned.
@hbooooomb @audible_com The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson (Book 1 of the Stormlight series).
The series as a whole is a fantastic bit of fantasy but what really makes the series stand out is how the author explores mental health issues through his characters. Great audible narrators as well.
I’m excited to move my lab to Texas Tech U @BiologyTTU, where we’ll continue to study the genetic basis and evolution of social traits using social insects. I’ll be looking for a technician as well as PhD students and a postdoc. Please contact me if interested / please share.
We are hiring! The Shlezinger Lab is recruiting a Ph.D. student for clinical research. The project focuses on antimicrobial immunity in patients with genetic disorders. In collaboration with Sheba medical center.
