We listen and we don’t judge… except today at the 26th Annual #NSCRC at @Northeastern !
Full-circle moment: this was where I first presented my undergrad chemistry research—and won my first “best poster” prize as a @WPI senior

Thrilled to announce that I've been selected for the 2023-2024 @CornellCALS Outstanding Graduate Teaching Assistant award in the Department
of Undergraduate Biology!
I'm grateful for the recognition & excited to keep working on creating a more inclusive classroom environment.
Hi everyone. Happy #BlackInChemWeek2023! I’m Jason, a high school science/chemistry teacher, and head of my school’s science department, in Ontario Canada. I’m always excited to see Black representation in STEM! #BlackInChemRollCall@BlackInChem
Kudos to @gwen_beacham for receiving yet another honor! Highly recommend watching for impactful science from this amazing Hagedorn lab postdoc @BU_Tweets. (Also, thanks @JCChildsFund for generously supporting superstar postdocs!)
Yilmaz (@ozguuryilmaz) and Emmert (@emmertlab) report general conditions for the N-dealkylation of tertiary amines via photoredox catalysis, providing access to known oxidative drug metabolites. Please have a look at their #JOrgChem article: https://t.co/KTHIEnvAZw.
@H3nRasouli Thanks for your kind words! As an aspiring academic, I appreciate the positive feedback and agree it’s essential to produce high-quality research for future literature. Let's keep supporting each other and advancing the field together!
Congratulations on your outstanding research! Your manuscript's fluency and figures were impeccable. Such works are essential in elevating the quality of future literature. #researchexcellence#academicachievement
@mljones1993 @Nature Yes please do let us know! I think you might find Extended Data Fig. 9 particularly interesting where we structurally compare drosophila CRY-TIM with the crystal structure of the N-terminal domain of human TIM
At last, the structure of Timeless has been resolved!

Very proud to of the work that went into this paper and thankful to @Nature for helping us share this story with you all!

The best thing I feel about protein science is the intense narrative and perseverance involved behind elucidating roles of each protein, a landmark in the Cry-Tim epic has been etched!Kudos for such a substantial contribution to the field by the Crane group ! @BRCraneLab@Nature
@nayanbnrj@BRCraneLab@Nature I completely agree! The narrative history of chronobiology is nothing short of gripping! It’s been thrilling to make our mark in propelling understanding of clocks via our Cry-Tim structure. Incredibly curious how the drosophila clock saga will continue to unfold!
I remember attending my first @SRBR_Outreach virtually in 2020. So cool to have research I contributed to acknowledged by SRBR 3 years later!

A @cornellchem team featuring @10feng@cristhechemist present cryo-EM structures of the Cry-Tim complex, integral to the circadian clock and light entrainment in flies:

1 Excited to share my Ph.D. work @BRCraneLab on circadian rhythm research, now published in Nature (https://t.co/x60XKB1i5d)! We've unveiled the structure to better understand the complex dance between the clock timing proteins Cry and Tim in fruit flies #circadianrhythm
So lucky to have had @ChangfanL as a mentor early on in my PhD journey! Thank you for showing me the fascinating world of circadian clocks and helping me grow as a researcher. It has been a pleasure to work with you, @10feng & @BRCraneLab to get this story out & into the world!
7 A huge thanks to my advisor Brian Crane @BRCraneLab for his unwavering patience, guidance, and support that allowed me to grow and learn throughout this journey. A big thank you to my co-authors Shi Feng @10feng and Cristina @CrisTheChemist for their invaluable contributions.
The CRY:TIM complex shows how the N-terminus of TIM replaces the autoinhibitory C-terminal Tail (CTT) of CRY, which establishes the mechanism of photosensory transduction based on our and other labs.
I am very excited to share our new manuscript! The first structure of Drosophila cryptochrome bound to its circadian target Timeless, which reveals a fundamental mechanism for circadian regulation.
