Dak Organization, in collaboration with @forumZFD and with support from BMZ, hosted 'What I Wished For' to mark the 10th anniversary of the #YazidiGenocide. The evening included a video presentation, discussion, and a candle-lighting ceremony in memory of the victims.
Ten years ago today, #Kocho, a #Yazidi village in Sinjar, suffered under ISIS's siege for 12 days. Men and older women were killed, and women and children were enslaved or forcibly recruited. We honor the lives lost and the survivors who still face immense hardship.
