CI needs to shift left. If you have to push to execute CI you're wasting your agents time. CI is absolutely killing my productivity right now. Traditional CI can not run at agent speed.
@DanEhrlich@ledwards When the WSJ started publishing, Theranos still had 100s of millions in the bank. If the board fired Elizabeth, put in place a competent CEO, acquired new tech, settled patient lawsuits, and scoped the vision… I think Theranos could have produced something valuable to society
@mjchiusano Terrible search on Amazon for finding it. Glad @simonschuster had the link. See screenshot below ... does not appear even 20+ results down.
@TylerShultz_@ledwards If leadership had been more open and flexible and willing to compromise, could Theranos have made it with devices that performed less tests but were still innovative? Also thanks for your bravery in speaking up so early on, I think about from time to time
@robpetrozzo she was raped" out of nowhere . Felt abrupt and not relevant (though sad). He was the one that enrolled her in Chinese classes in the 7th grade, which would eventually lead her on the trip to Singapore when she was 19 where she met Sunny.
@robpetrozzo A lot of blank stares and "I don't know". Like a patient early on or in denial in therapy. Was sad to watch her mom's facial expressions too as the dad was talking. I feel like he played a big role in all this + his time in Enron. When asked where it all went wrong, he said "when
@KushPatil_ Wall Street Journal was delivered to the house every morning senior year of high school. The $DJIA going up and then down 1000 points everyday (this would be like 5000 points today) w/ September 11th style headlines for a week. Wild instability like that seemed not good.
Earthquake prediction is terrible. If someone can use something like Claude Code to better find low intensity earthquakes and actually predict a major EQ in advance would be significant. Feels like we are <6 months out from this.
So this is it huh. This is where the acceleration happens.
Not arxiv, not some peer reviewed journal.
Right here on X, discoveries flowing as fast as we can find them.
@ToviDing@nerdconf_ar 1/2 - So basically, upload a video of any room (video is at the end) and then get a print out of all the furniture captured on video, flag for anything fragile, and then what U-Haul truck you need + links to book the appropriate amount of TaskRabbit workers to help for moving.
On August 17, GitHub experienced a significant outage that disrupted developers and organizations around the world. If you were trying to ship software that day, we let you down.
I posted in March and April about the steps we’re taking to make GitHub more reliable. The work is still underway. Here is an update:

Roles are collapsing.
If you're a "Software Engineer" today, you may be a "Product Engineer" soon - with many more responsibilities.
So:
- Learn design/UX/QA/PM skills.
- Focus more on the user, and less on the syntax.

Around 2011ish - 2015 the core cloud primitives we know today (VMs, object storage, API Gateway, elastic load balancing, some kind of managed database service, etc) developed. Over the next 5 years, the core 20 agentic services you'll need to know will solidify.
I've been thinking a lot about what software infrastructure looks like in a world where agents use software more than humans do. Wrote this post as an expression of this curiosity-- hope its a fun read! https://t.co/xva9FnU31v
