Young pitchers can easily assume the path to more velocity is to muscle up—throw harder, spin faster, and force the delivery. That might make the radar-gun number jump, but it doesn’t always make the pitch look faster to the hitter. For young pitchers and the coaches guiding them, the better long-term investment is learning the movement principles that shape the delivery: balance, stride length, direction, and extension.
When a pitcher moves efficiently down the mound and releases the ball closer to home plate, the hitter has less time to react—and the pitch can play faster than its measured velocity. That’s why extension matters. Pulling your head away from the target can pull the body out of line, move the release point back, and take away some of that advantage. For every inch your head pulls off, you lose 2 inches of extension. The goal is to stay balanced, move down the target line, and let efficient sequencing deliver the ball out front.
@PeterJennings88@FanDuel@FanDuel_Support Dear @FTC - can you please look into this if not resolved properly? Tens of thousands of users have been robbed by a big, publicly traded company.
Every Monday morning during the fantasy football season, I put together a thread featuring data from the week's games. This isn't about takes. It's just about providing information.
This is the Week 1 data dump.

Roger Clemens says pressure will eventually expose every weakness in your preparation, so he trains his focus at an unreal level
“Pressure will find your weaknesses. That’s why we practice perfect. That’s why my bullpen sessions are locked in, intense.”
“I’m doing a 12-minute bullpen in between starts. I might be starting Game 3. Or it might just be a Wednesday afternoon business special. It might be as simple as that. Not what you would consider a big game.”
“I’m doing this and I’ve got guys moving over here. Or the lawn guy. Or I’ve got somebody talking. No. No. No. Stop. Because I want to be right here.”
“My first three starts in spring training, where you’re going one or two innings, I can hear the popcorn vendor. I'm locked in.”
“I can see guys moving in the dugout. I can hear my sister or somebody yelling for me. By my last two starts of spring training, it’s just like that movie, For The Love of The Game with Kevin Costner.”
“I don’t hear anything. I see the catcher. And it’s a game within a game. I've had wonderful catchers, and I call them out and say sit still, you're moving too much. I'm painting a picture, sit still, trust your hands, and I'm gonna get it to you.”
“To be successful at anything, you don’t have to be special. You just have to be what most people aren’t: consistent, determined and willing to work for it. No shortcuts.”
— Tom Brady
“There was a study on how do people get better? It’s through fun!”

• Relax the bat in your hands
• Be aware of your forearm tension
• Grip tightens only when you swing
⭐️ A relaxed bat explodes faster than a tense one. Stay loose & fire!
