@easyJet Is it really too much to ask that a member of the cabin crew checks one of the seat sleeves of a regular domestic plane for a Passport? Everyone seems to claim that someone else handles it... and then say they don't.
It would be easier to call a crew member and ask.
@MCUFilmNews Is there any significance in the fact that it looks like Curt Connors actor Rhys Ifans--who only had one hand--and the picture he is of Knull looking at that same arm? Did Connors get sent back to the wrong world after "Spider--Man: No Way Home...?"
@GillesnFio@Machiav65991401@Martin_Durkin In fact, what even is this nonsense? Did you make this PowerPoint yourself? Crikey, it must be nice to have that much time on your hands.
@GillesnFio@Machiav65991401@Martin_Durkin Says one person with an axe to grind. Fascism does not equal either communism not socialism, which also don't mean the same thing either. Read a more objective source than a one that feeds a confirmation bias.
@walkermartyn@Martin_Durkin Yeah, there is. If the majority of the scientific community believes in something, then it is a 'scientific consensus.' Some are instant, some are radical at the time and take a while to get established. I'd give examples, but you've already listed most of the obvious ones.
@walkermartyn@Martin_Durkin Erm... all of those theories were challenged at the time.
And then became scientific consensus. Or is Newton's theory about gravity still being hotly contested?
@DiscussingFilm The stuff in the comics fits that version of Quinn, she's still the same character just without those particular traits that worked well there. Just like this is The Joker, but a grounded take—growing into those homicidal traits by the end. It'll work.
@PaulSkallas This clickbait quote is literally the definition of taking someone's words out of context, and burying them for it. He simply made a joke before giving his true feelings, and the article quoted it, knowing it would look indifferent
Well done @DiscussingFilm, great hatchet job.
@michaelcanfield@PaulSkallas The part quoted was a joke, he clarified that whether the film came out or not won't affect his career either way, but that he did wish the directors to succeed.
@PaulSkallas Read the full quote. It's clear he was making a joke before explaining that the film's cancellation wouldn't affect his career, but still wanted to see the movie's directors succeed.
@DiscussingFilm@Variety "It took not caring [about how I looked as a guy in a skin tight pyjama suit roaring and moving like I'm a giant red hulk to make the performance authentic, when, out of context, I'd look idiotic]. It took being an idiot for money which I've done before... but it was fun. There.
@DiscussingFilm I think the full quote is a little more telling about what he meant. This part was a mild joke, but he went on to elaborate that he'd wanted the directors to succeed, but the film's cancellation wouldn't have impacted his career. But his actual response doesn't draw clicks, so...
@dave43law@Conservatives The strikes seem to be about classic disruption again—getting to show how necessary a workforce to get first negotiations. I see the point, but I can't see how it'll have public backing—there's a massive hole in the finances and all the public sector is waiting for pay rises.
@jamesjpdrake True, but Orwell also composed a list of 'communist-leaning' influences and included people with mild-socialist views—including JB Priestley—which leaves a bit of a bitter taste in the mouth
@danclarkie@ZwhiteHistory@JonathanPieNews Oh, so we're picking up on syntax, and simultaneously undermining your own point. Yes, I know, Pie is the character, but I wrongly assumed you were smart enough to know that distinction went without saying... But well done on your 'gotcha' moment...
@danclarkie@ZwhiteHistory@JonathanPieNews No, he's not. He's a performer whose satire happens to resonate with a great many people, and his character is relatable. In addition. So he gets paid more for it now than he did before, it's hardly a secret and certainly not undeserved. It doesn't factor it.
