@seidodge How many people watching on TV is irrelevant to me. It's the people going to the actual game who need to be considered and 1.15 start is not the way to go.
We've been looking forward to the potential(emphasis on the potential) clash between Cork and Dublin hurlers for a few weeks now. 1.15pm start on a Saturday is a crime against humanity.
@gavreilly Great coverage all week. My take was that Niall Boylan hoovered up transfers from non-politicians. But when politicians were eliminated, the transfers went to politicians.
@RareIrishStuff I found one of these folded in two with a layer of frost on it on a January morning walking to work in 1995. It was payday. At lunchtime, word was getting round that there was a payroll glitch and our accounts were unchanged. And me with the twenty drying out in my desk drawer.
@davidhall75 I listened to the second half with my mum on the radio. Keeping it off the TV probably saved the ambulance service a busy night in both Cork and Limerick. Heart attack prevention.
@rocshot Don't want to come across as a naysayer here, but the first 10 overs in the field weren't up to scratch. The rest was immaculate. I follow the betting markets closely beforehand and during the match so I don't just look at the overall result. Cricketeurope said the same.
RIP Alf McCarthy, a Cork Institution, synonymous with Cork Local Radio which my mother always had on at lunchtime . Happy memories of him presenting an Inter Schools quiz like Blackboard Jungle on Cork MultiChannel, that I had the pleasure of being on.
@TreLeoni It's awful, man. Country music has enough problems without this. If you want to clean out your ears and brains and reset - try Hank Williams Snr or George Jones
