Shocked to see the latest NMC notice regarding FMGE’s
During COVID, thousands of Indian students studying abroad were forced into online classes by a global pandemic.
Now, years later, the NMC wakes up and demands “onsite compensation” as if students controlled the pandemic.
This is not regulation.
This is bureaucratic cruelty.
Students followed the rules that existed when they enrolled. Universities shifted online because the world shut down. And today the system wants to punish students for a crisis they did not create.
If NMC truly cared about standards, it should have issued clear policy during the pandemic, not after students have already invested years, money, and their future.
Stop treating FMGs like second-class doctors.
Policy cannot be written retrospectively on the backs of students.
Fix the system — don’t scapegoat the students.

Students who took admission under existing rules cannot be penalized through retrospective changes.
We demand fairness and clarity.

₹₹🚨10 BILLION INDIAN RUPEES!
That’s how strong the private medical college lobby in India is for #MBBS , EVERY YEAR!
•Now think about this- The chairman of UG Med Edu Board of #NMC says that they want to dissuade students from going abroad and study.
•Simultaneously, they impose strict sanctions on #FMG students each year- making them regret the decision of ‘saving’ some money.
•Then alleged paper leaks happen for #NEETExams..bringing in MORE MONEY!
…and the vicious cycle goes on.
Looks like MONETISATION of MBBS is the new way going forward. And our regulatory authorities might just be at the heart of it.
Wake up! Don’t become a #doctor in India!

FMGs went abroad to study medicine with the permission of NMC. If it was so unacceptable, then why is this even a thing. Why make so many youngsters from our own country waste their 6 yrs of youth struggling.
Please be rational !!

Studying abroad is already a significant challenge for #FMG students. Adding 2-3 years of extra internship undermines the purpose of the FMG Exam. This situation of covid should be looked at with compassion for children studying abroad.
It’s sad that only FMGE’s are being made to do extended internships in compensation of the online classes attended by them (most of them during COVID). NMC cannot just make them as the scapegoat. This decision should be re-evaluated!

But ma'am, what about the ones who have gone there and learned well and abided by all your ever-changing rules and yet just wishing for such a tiny simple thing in return , equal opportunity. Just acceptance.
We so so deserve this!!

She is Aruna vanikar president of UGMEB if she goes with such mentality what else we can expect from her for FMG , if there is serious issues with fmg then ban students persuing medical qualification from foreign medical colleges atleast they don't suffer
@NMC_IND
NMC has released new rules for FMGs making it compulsory to do 2-3 years of internship as per an old circular regulations .
MBBS Normal Duration: 5- 5.5 Years
MBBS normal duration for FMGs who studied online = 6+3 years of internship + 1-2 year of cracking FMG exam = 10 years
With this rule MBBS degree for FMGs should be considered in “Guinness book of records” for the longest duration degree in the world
If NMC has issues with FMGs they should clarify and stop Medical students from studying abroad
If this is not discrimination against FMGs then I don’t know what is !
