We are forced to ask now, who is not doing the bidding of Putin? Whether it is kompromat or personal ambition and greed, I no longer want to know. I cannot say how much I never want to see the kompromat on these hideous people.
Just a few weeks ago, Israeli customs seized 16 tons of bomb-making material that originated in Turkey, destined for Gaza. We wrote about it at @FDD Where do you suppose Hamas sources materials to build rockets used to kill Israeli civilians today? https://t.co/QWcR59wC23
⚠️Worrisome—“These findings suggest that #SARSCoV2 infection damages the CD8+ T cell response, an effect **akin to that observed in studies showing long-term damage to the immune system after infection with hepatitis C or #HIV**.” ~@NIH study! #LongCOVID

TIL a papyrus scroll indicates that, during the building of the tomb of Pharaoh Ramses III, the workers were upset about their treatment and, rather than discussing it with them, management served them a large meal.
@MandyRhae @alteritea One of my advisors in the early 90s said it was my initial statement to the field, and that would suffice. Kindness to a perfectionist writing in ridiculous isolation. Pioneering topics can have a cost. I now work in fields with many colleagues who know more than I do.
On this day in 1911, a fire broke out at the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory killing 146 workers, mostly young immigrant women. The tragedy led to pivotal labor law reforms in New York. Read more in #ChronAm. https://t.co/dSAkH9Weao #WomensHistoryMonth

@Ethnography911 Thank you. I need 10-12 hours of sleep a day now with a sleep marathon of 16+ hours every week or so. Reactive arthritis, too. Residual virus should have had hella more attention. Many viruses aren’t killed and gone. I grew up knowing people maimed by post-polio syndrome.
Yellen: "Our sanctions on Iran have created real economic crisis in the country, and Iran is greatly suffering economically because of the sanctions ... Has that forced a change in behavior? The answer is much less than we would ideally like."
Powerful: Ranking Member @RepMcGovern just read an entire book into the record.
“It's called The Life of Rosa Parks by Kathleen Connors. It was pulled from second grade classrooms in the Duval County public school district in Florida. So let's just see what's so objectionable.”
@vox_magica @tlecaque Enforcement should not be subject to politics and personalities, but it always is. My misfortune to be born and raised as a virtuous warrior — both would have been safer to be as a man, but I fear that wanting to live a life of virtue or ethics is now nearly obsolete for all.
