@_aufgegleist Das ist ja auf dem Niveau wie als man in der Englischen DB App mal das "Anglegrinder Ticket" angeboten bekommen hat. Landläufig ist das sonst als Flex Ticket bekannt.
@Xoey80239413@jtc002@ToughSf Both projects where partial successes: First one entered a flat spin due to its inability to control its flight and second one lost the rotor due to the rotor axle straight up ripping off since it was half as thick as it needed to be.
@Xoey80239413@jtc002@ToughSf You just use the wings. There have been some student projects flown on REXUS which showed that it is very much possible (example: https://t.co/7cPhQ3oU4B or the followup project:
arXiv:2406.11292).
@Xoey80239413@jtc002@ToughSf It is actually quite simple: You turn the kinetic energy from falling into rotational energy which provides lift to slow you down. By not converting 100% of your kinetic energy into rotational energy you dont run into any blade tip speed issues while still slowing the craft. /2
@Xoey80239413@jtc002@ToughSf Autorotation for landing vehicles (which this is) has actually been investigated extensively and deemed feasible. The main barrier back then was the material requirements and price compared to parachutes. 1/
@CodysLab Yeah especially full moon is insanely bright. When mounting my DSLR to a newton telescope i had to set the exposure time to the lowest technically possible for it to not overexpose.
@Rklawton@Osinttechnical Yes its a bit confusing. On one hand CWC forbids the use of any chemical agents that cause permanent or temporary loss of sight. On the other it says it only applies to a certain list of chemicals which CS-gas is not on.
@janboehm Die Schilder sind voll Praktisch. Wenn die Ladesäule direkt auf dem Schild ist dann wird das wahrscheinlich irgendein abgeranztes Ding sein was in 8/10 Fällen überhaupt erst nicht funktioniert.
@Breo28887313 @RocketLab@NASA@AdvancedSpace@linusgsebastian Should be fine. What you see isnt very "electrical". The actual electronics, including all the processors of the module is somewhere else (probably behind the module) and more protected.
@Breo28887313 @RocketLab@NASA@AdvancedSpace@linusgsebastian I build fpv drones as a hobby and the GPS modules used for them look just like that. Not sure if it'll need much shielding since its mostly ceramics. Also any shielding is gonna limit reception
