Education should be one of the most heavily funded sectors because it shapes the brain-power and future of our society. For many children in underprivileged communities, a school meal is the only meal they get all day.Our children deserve better!@KeTreasury 💔
No more school feeding:

Young people across Kenya are being called upon to take a more active role in shaping the country’s democratic future—a message echoed during the Global Democracy Coalition Africa Forum on March 28, featured on @KBCChannel1 News.
With youth representing the largest demographic in Kenya, speakers underscored the urgent need to equip them with the knowledge, tools, and platforms to influence policy and governance meaningfully.
@owillice, Executive Director of @TheYouthCafe, highlighted how democracy is deeply connected to wider issues like climate change, environmental justice, and human rights.
@mayvnne, also representing @TheYouthCafe, stressed that understanding the root causes of democratic decline is essential: “If you don't shape your future, someone will shape it for you.”
Elisenda Balleste Buxo, Coordinator of the @GloDemCoalition, encouraged young leaders to remain solution-oriented: “Keep fighting, be respectful, and bring solutions to the table.”
Kevin Waigwa from @NuruTrustKenya painted a hopeful vision of a society grounded in freedom, peace, and the nurturing of talent.
And @Kennedy_sankara of the @nyckenyasec reminded us all that the fight against corruption must go beyond words—it requires real accountability.
The forum served as a powerful reminder that democracy requires active participation, not passive observation. It thrives when young people are informed, engaged, and empowered.

Amb. Michael Mutisi on Strengthening Democracy at #GDCForum2025

🔹 How Can the Ministry Support Democracy?
