On Monday, I concluded my PhD journey surrounded by very special people. Now I am a very happy Dr. Margiotta with a beautiful and funny hat :) huge thanks to Martin and @Beck_Laboratory!!!!
I am so proud of how my region dealed with vaccinations. Now everyone, without any limits of age, is free to book an appointment.
This morning was my turn. I loved walking with so many people through that same hall..felt as part of a good community :)
Very interesting work from Sabrina on the aggressive behaviour!
If you are not a scientist but curious about science or a scientist interested in many diverse topics, follow @carolaraujos and her beautiful blog :)
What are the biological bases of aggressive behavior? Meet Sabrina van Heukelum and her great PhD work on the neural differences between pathological and healthy aggression.

Some have already found it, but really glad we can share this manuscript! It’s been great fun to work with Sara Goetz & Herman Fung on developing a platform for automating and developing cryoFIB workflows. A small (non-perfect) #Chlamy milling example I had lying around attached.
#CSHRetro starting today!

From the lab: Almost six years since we know of the relationship between SERINC and HIV Nef. Here’s a novel function to SERINC, sensitizing cell-free HIV particles to innate sensing in myeloid cells. Wasn’t easy, but very true! Congratulations 🥳

Can nuclear pores change diameter in living cells? @ZimmerliChris @Matteoffm and @RantosVasileios reveal constriction upon energy depletion. Actively transporting pores are dilated.
Great collaboration with @jankosinski and J Mahamid . @embl@mpibp
