In case you missed EFB 2021 Conference, take a look at my poster, where I presented my research about enhancement of properties of bacterial cellulose.
Thanks to @AthloneIT and @BioICEP_H2020 for supporting my work.
Meet the Project Coordinator team: @ait_research! 👋
Based in #Athlone, #Ireland 🇮🇪 at the Technological University of the Shannon, team is led by Dr. Margaret Brennan Fournet and they're advancing sustainable plastic solutions in line with our mission for a greener future. ♻️
Additionally, some of our students in TUS presented their posters to showcase their research. Jeovan Araujo’s poster was awarded as winner for the categories “Best Overall Impact Poster” and
“Best Postgraduate Research Image” 👏🏼👏🏼
Congrats @araujeovs!!
Research week 2024 at @TUS_ie@ait_research took place from the 12th to 16th of February. Our project coordinator presented an overview of the project in her presentation titled “Leading a Collaborative Cross-Continental Research Project”.
We are delighted to share the success of BioICEP's participation at Mikrobiokosmos 2023, and event hosted by the Hellenic Scientific Society. Mikrobiokosmos was established in 2007 with a mission to research, explore, and exploit microbial national resources.
Very pleased to present my poster in the Mikrobiokosmos 10th International Conference, showcasing some of my work in the development of new degradable biomaterials with integrated antimicrobial properties.

Ana Teresa Rebocho, from @ibetportugal presented the BioICEP project at the 19th edition of the International Conference on Renewable Resources & Biorefineries, in Riga, Latvia. The conference took place from May 31st - June 2nd.
Our partners from @ibetportugal attended the 11th European Symposium on Biopolymers (ESBP), held at Brno Observatory and Planetarium, in Brno, Czech Republic. This event is a successful series of symposia dedicated to all aspects of biopolymers.
Our partners from @BioICEP_IMGGE in Serbia and @ibetportugal participated in The European Researchers’s Night to promote their research in the scope of BioICEP and other projects in Belgrade and Lisbon.
@TUS_ie and @ait_research held an Open Research Information Event on the 28th of September. The event was targeted to the general public, community groups, and industry, to exhibit some of the projects being carried out institution. BioICEP project was presented by @Ed_Lanzagorta
Europa, an icy moon of Jupiter, has a subsurface ocean beneath a crust of water ice. Using recent #JWST observations, two new Science studies indicate CO2 on Europa’s surface originated from within its internal ocean.

👗 Did you know that only 1% of clothes are recycled into new garments?
♻️ Despite the challenges, there is significant potential for textile recycling. @_EcoPlastiC_ is developing research-grade PHA biopolymers that can be regenerated indefinitely. ⬇️
