Armored before the smallfolk, she claims the secret her blood alone was meant to keep: “If your world is to survive, I must light the way. I am the shield of the people. I am the Prince That Was Promised.”
The words do not crown her. They isolate her.

The scene is harrowing and effective precisely because it strips the pageantry. Anne was a skilled political player who rose and fell in Henry’s brutal court
Anne Boleyn wasn’t a pure innocent victim—she played the same ruthless game as everyone else at Henry’s court and lost. The “B” necklace comes off, the fur cape is stripped, and the sword falls because she failed to deliver a living son and stood in the way of Jane Seymour. Romanticizing her as a tragic feminist icon ignores how she and her family engineered the rise that made the fall inevitable. Power always eats its own.
Brownsville gathers to honor the life of RJ Mitte on Friday-October-16th.
He was handed a script and chose, instead, to walk beyond it.
A smile that opened every room.
A presence that created space where none had been offered to people like him.
Rest easy, RJ. The story remains open.
I feel the role Andrew Garfield played in The Uprising could’ve been awardwinning. The role and film had potential but lacked structure not all through the movie
Key turning points were rushed in and rushed out to, making for a fast-paced film I appreciated, though it needed more build-up and anticipation.
The midpoint, which I thought would be the climax, was anticlimactic, then led to another climax and another. The story lacked a real beginning and middle.
That said, the final scene was brilliant by far the best part of the film.
Cersei Lannister was ruthless, Jaime was fearless, but SHE had the guts to do what the others couldn't.
Is she really the bravest Lannister, or am I giving her too much credit!!
