@kenzayy_murrayy This is so important! #octmchat

[Ellyn Haviland @Ellyn_naomi]

I think that sometimes there appears to be a bias against math in early childhood. I always bring as much enthusiasm to my math lessons as I can to show students that math matters! #octmchat

[Ellyn Haviland @Ellyn_naomi]

@SarahBertsch6 @BGSU_CTM I think it surprises you g students how easy it is to find math outside the classroom! #octmchat

[Ellyn Haviland @Ellyn_naomi]

@MathShelby So much of the math we teach at this age is easy to apply to real life because we get to teach foundational skills!

[Ellyn Haviland @Ellyn_naomi]

@kathy25 I remember how excited I was to learn about unit prices at stores! #octmchat

[Ellyn Haviland @Ellyn_naomi]

A3: game nights geared towards elementary students could be a good way to involve students and their families #octmchat

[Ellyn Haviland @Ellyn_naomi]

@cotts_jandra I remember competing in one during middle school! #octmchat

A2. My students are involved in math competitions with @sumdog which allows them to compete with students their age in a friendly way #octmchat

[Ellyn Haviland @Ellyn_naomi]

A1. I remember a trip to COSI but math generally stayed inside our classroom! I think it would be great to see how much math connects to our daily lives! #octmchat

@brittcjoseph @BGSUEIECTech With infants, its more important to follow a series of predictable events than a strict schedule! @TheIRISCenter

[Ellyn Haviland @Ellyn_naomi]

@brittcjoseph @BGSUEIECTech In class, I learned that the goal of seating and position is to maximize function for the user!

[Faith Couch @faith_noelle95]

Just tried out a seating disk from Therapy Shoppe!! It felt so nice and could really assist children who need more help focus in school!
