. @CKlosterman first of all, happy (belated) BDAY!
Not joking here, I've just reached the bottom of this page in Killing Yourself To Live and I find the coincidence very "Klostermannish". Apologies for being late, yet punctual.
A)Would you confirm? B)Any further observations?

Reg3efufMeteo: ponte del 2 giugno, gli aggiornu4amenti di oggi lasciano senza parole, vediamo cosa Γ¨ previsto https://t.co/NWbf2LuR8N #meteo via @ilmeteoit
@DamesBadAnims @TylerGlaiel As a rookie, I didn't entirely enjoy the interaction (controls) when I tried it, although I really enjoy Dark Cells ATM, go figure...
Other good games where key bindings put me (AKA: rookie) off: They Bleed Pixels, Rochard
@TylerGlaiel Dunno if it counts as it basically was a record in disguise: Quake?
Also: SMBoy and most of Danny B's stuff.
Going back: SuperMarioBros 3, Sonic CD...
@TylerGlaiel In random order:
- A few extra levels, say in a parallel, readily accessible chapter
- A few unlockable cosmetic tweaks which modify the 2/3-tone palette, the sprites or a few mechanics (think Downwell or Luftrausers)
- An alt, selectable new soundtrack and title screen
@TylerGlaiel Actually, (probably cause I didn't care for Pokemons), can Street Fighter 2 be another one for the 90s? Unlike Doom, the hype for 2d beat 'em ups was very "90s", before the (IMHO) sad advent of their 3d counterparts circa 96/97. It took years to (finally) get 2d mechanics back.
@TylerGlaiel I was gonna say Doom for the 90s, but then I really acknowledged the "once in a decade" in the sentence and I get what you mean. Actually, thinking of it, I might slightly disagree with SMB for the 80s (the "other" SMB, lol) because it might be a bit like Doom [CONTINUES]...
@TylerGlaiel BTW, I love the early 10s enthusiasm in indie games, when devs though outside the box within tried and tested genres when AAAs got complacent: say, when you were playing a B/W minimalist platformer where what wasn't lit didn't exist, lol
@TylerGlaiel ... both SMB and Doom are true icons and phenomena of their decades for their respective genres, but platformers and FPS stayed popular beyond the decade. I dunno, as silly as it sounds, could Duck Hunt and the Zapper be the (defining, and quintessential) Wii sports of the 80s?
@TylerGlaiel@gamemakerstk [OT?] Coincidentally (and totally by chance), I was chatting with a friend of mine today and I reminded him about how brilliant Closure (and that HBundle coming around Xmas 2012, sigh) was ...
... do we really need to stick to 2021 here? Lol
@gamemakerstk I admit I haven't even played it so far (not playing much lately) but I've yet to discover whether Loop Hero's mechanics are ace or partially flawed.
Besides, I quite enjoyed BoI Repentance, but I guess an incremental DLC doesn't really count
@jayrayner1@ObsFood I came here via the article. I agree and have no problems at all on this matter, although (and accordingly) I'd probably be wary of Johnson's spaghetti recipes.
@Hermesparcels
our parcel was "delivered" on Wed to (I guess) a neighbour, with no slip of paper left telling us where. Since no one came to us, there's no way to get in touch with a human through your CS and I'd rather not knock on 100 doors, could you please help? #hermes
