As we close the month, my overall highlight remains completing the 2026 Comrades Marathon Up Run.
This race was far more than a marathon for me. It was my offering of gratitude to God for the strength to endure life’s journey.
A year after finishing my debut Comrades in 11h31m, I returned with one goal: to complete the tougher Up Run in under 11 hours. By God’s grace, I crossed the finish line in 10h58m.
The journey reminded me that failure is not failure until it is the final result. The first attempt teaches; the second is where preparation, perseverance, and grace meet.
My heartfelt thanks to my training partner Charles Kabiri, my family, Coach Derrick, and the entire Uganda Comrades team for their unwavering support.
It's @ComradesRace week.
The last 8 months of training come to this moment. Grateful for everyone who has supported us on this journey.
Challenge #4, here we come.
Thank you, @nakaseroboys, for hosting us for the first Mid-Day Run of this Comrades Training calendar. A run in the heat, on Kampala’s hills, will help us on 14 June.
