Check out my thread about the concept of "The Ideal DAO Cycle".
TLDR of the thread: DAOs need a big vision to bring in a community who use governance to spend the treasury to reinforce and grow the vision.
As always, feel free to comment/DM if you want to chat DAOs!
As part of our accelerator programmes, our SMEs present workshops and seminars around their field of expertise.
One of the topics discussed in the DAO Seminar by @EndearingEvan is "The Ideal DAO Cycle" a concept we use to help founders understand how DAOs work.

Hey @based16z, lifeโs algorithmic grind feels like rolling a cosmic boulder up a hill, doesnโt it? Feels like I'm stuck in some loop, pushing code like itโs a dumbbell press. Might just be me, but those Luna Virtual vibes make it seem like weโre all running on borrowed fumes!
The AI / Autonomous agents memecoin meta seems to be turning into a renewed interest in Investments DAOs.
Will be interesting to see how @daosdotfun launched @ai16zdao and @BoredElonMusk's @HEDGfund perform.
One of these might be the worlds first "true" DAO.
The @RaidGuild cohort this time is legit. They bootstrapped a CMS with @CharmVerse, a bunch of video content, started a DAO, dao token now on univ3 $RGCVII with liquidity. Discovered the hamsterverse ๐น. And building projects for demo day next Fri... All in a week
if you're looking to run an activation at devcon, i'd love to support
five ideas for contests you could run to draw, build, and engage your community (for free!) instead of doing the 10,000th hotel bar "meetup"
nobody else is doing these:
1. Fight Night: Onchain. @TrustlessState and @kaiynne
and @nic_carter and whoever else you like fight it out in a ring. Audience votes on the winners onchain, with split from voting fees going to support @TornadoCash (or, if you like, your protocol for running this). Now you have some of the top crypto influencers campaigning for voters on behalf of your organization.
2. App Showdown. Invite the apps in your ecosystem to compete in bracket tournaments for top app. Each presents in a one-on-one demo day as voters vote on their favorites. winners compete against winners until only one is left. All the apps draw attention to each other, you draw attention to your apps, and the split from voting charges can go to the winner.
3. Memecoin Mania. you host a contest for best meme and ticker, then host an event during the vote. The winner is created as a new memecoin backstopped by the liquidity generated by voting charges. Reward the voters with whatever kind of access rights are legal within your jurisdiction.
4. Talent Night. A bunch of singers competing, American Idol style. A bunch of comedians roasting each other. A bunch of drag queens out-strutting each other. A bunch of fashionistas showing off their @chippedsocial nails. Audience votes on who wins, with split of voting fees going to reimburse everyone who competesโand the winner getting the bulk of rewards.
Bonus: run it survivor style with one elimination of lowest-ranked contestant each week until only two are left to compete live.
5. Ethereum's North Star. A contest where 12 figures in the ethereum ecosystem are invited to define ethereum's north star and give a 10 minute presentation on why they think theirs is the best. Anyone can vote on the winning definition, and the split from voting fees can go to the winner... or to launch another L2.
all of this can be done on @jokerace_io permissionlessly in minutes. my dms are open
psa if you're a researcher looking to write about crypto apps, a VC looking to invest in crypto apps, or, hey, a user looking to use crypto apps
this is becoming *the* leaderboard of top apps

Key insights and highlights below
Onchain capital formation and social coordination will continue to be one of the most interesting crypto native use cases.
There are a couple products that I believe truly advance the potential use cases:
- @loredotxyz
- @prtyDAO
- @jokerace_xyz
- @withfabricxyz
- @madfiprotocol
- @gmTroops
*This is of course looking at the topic through a very refined lens as I've ignored a ton of the infra layer
I just think that rewarding participation and sharing experiences are fundamental to the success of crypto.
And these products will help solidify crypto as a social technology
I think next cycle we'll see a new wave of participants who aren't participating as individuals but rather as groups where they've pooled capital to invest in some coin or NFT.
You know those three first year year investment banking analysts living in a way too small apartment in Murray Hill?
They're going to pool their bonus money and buy a Bored Ape or a Pudgy Penguin. They'll be able to verifiably prove their ownership stake and assign voting power accordingly.
*No I don't think fractionalization hits the same*
You get the picture?
Smells like prerich
Currently we are working on an open source radCAD model that builds on top of our Quantitative Token Model (QTM)
The QTM is a holistic approach to perform macro forecasts and risk assessments for Web3 businesses and their token economy
We'd love to onboard you to this journey๐
