@DylanBonner90 @Stats_R_Ricest What taxes? Perhaps sales tax, but certainly not income tax or property tax. They don’t have SSNs or ITINs. They also consume resources like hospital beds. Non-profit hospitals care for them and never collect money from them because they can’t pay because they’re uninsured

@Ben89754071 @sarah_cone @ChadNotChud The abundance of resources is why people move to cities generally. Residents pay to get access to those resources. Homeless people aren’t necessarily owed any resources just by virtue of living in cities. It’s all based on charity.
