A river cleanup to begin the year with.
We welcome all and sundry in and around Itanagar capital region to come and help clean Yagamso river on January 3rd 2026 at Energy park, Itanagar stretch.
As usual, cleaning gears, water and tea will be provided.
Under the Zero Waste Himalaya banner, the Youth Mission for Clean River, in collaboration with Itanagar Smart City, Abralow Memorial Multipurpose Society, Morning Glory, and NSS Don Bosco College, organized The Himalayan Cleanup at IG Park, Itanagar.
What began as a modest cleanup drive in Itanagar’s Green Belt in 2016 has today evolved into a grassroots movement that’s not only removing garbage from riverbanks but also attempting to reshape public attitudes towards sustainability and ecological responsibility.

To celebrate #WorldEnvironmentDay, YMCR in collaboration with the research scholars of @RGU1984's @MasscomRgu organised a tree plantation program at the department's compound.
Several ornamental and fruit trees were planted on the occasion.
In collaboration with Dept of Environmental Science, IUGS @RGU1984 we are organizing Yagamso River Cleanup, at Chandranagar Stretch, Itanagar on May 3, 2025, starting at 6:30 AM. Over 200 volunteers are slated to join the cleaning.

The Youth Mission for Clean River, in collaboration with the 2017 RGU Students' Union, organized a riverfront cleanup at the Kurung-Kumey confluence. This initiative aims to promote environmental awareness while contributing to the preservation of the region's natural beauty.
In a video message, Jadav Payeng, the "Forest Man of India," lauded the YMCR for their conservation efforts and encouraged them to intensify their tree planting initiatives along riverbanks.

Family at home, raised a baby eagle found at our rubber farm in Kafla village, Seppa. It eats only meat & has grown quite fast, with claws sharper than a lion's. They released it today, but it keeps returning & won't fly. Worried someone might harm it due to its friendliness.
