The @MoECC_Somalia, in collaboration with @UNDPSomalia and other stakeholders, held a Validation Workshop for the Project Design on conserving terrestrial and marine biodiversity and restoring ecosystem services in globally relevant and vulnerable sites in Somalia. The event was officially opened by the Director General, Mr. @yussufsamatar.

The project will play a vital role in restoring and protecting terrestrial and marine ecosystems, fulfilling Somalia’s commitments under the National Transformation Plan (NTP), and aligning with the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). The workshop discussed the project’s objectives, activities, and expected outcomes, reaffirming its strong alignment with national priorities while also strengthening collaboration among government ministries, federal member states, academia, the private sector, and civil society.
