@trentreed27 @mannspeaks With the little time I have to play games, I only can choose maybe one or two games to play over a few months. I paid for a year and played only one game. Metaphor. So I paid roughly $240 to play a $70 game. These subscription models are created so you spend more money.

@trentreed27 @mannspeaks I was a gamepass subscriber. But I’m also a dad now. Games aren’t movies or TV shows. The commitment is bigger and often, this entertainment is really a solo experience rather than something to be enjoyed with a partner. The Netflix model doesn’t work because of that.

@trentreed27 @mannspeaks Gamepass is good for game critics or fans of gaming in general. What the Call of Duty acquisition proved is that a number of people only play Call of Duty and don’t care about the other offerings of Gamepass. That’s why they removed it.

@trentreed27 @mannspeaks For you that could be true. But I think like a lot of gamers, especially older ones, have gaming preferences. I have no interest in Forza, Gears, or Halo. The only game I’m interested in, Fable, doesn’t come out for another 8 months. So not sure how the deal works out.

@IslesFix @ConradProfit While I agree a late first round pick is a good asset. It is not the end all be all. ie Wahlstrom, Bellows, Ho-Sang, Reinhardt. Who knows, maybe we suck next year and a team will give us a 2nd or late first for a Schenn or JGP. Imagine he traded for Garland? That’s a bad move.
