An extremely complex example of Vector Feathering in @rive yet crazy fast render!
— No detail loss at zoom
— It's interactive, and layers follow the mouse, imitating real light
— Shadows and highlights have a convincing penumbra
— 400+ FPS
— Works on old, weak machines
Alright, same idea, two different approaches. The version on the left uses a bunch of rectangles attached to a square via follow path, then distance constraints are used to push each rectangle as a shape passes by. Right is using animated text modifiers.
So excited to finally be able to share this interactive story I did with Hungry Minds, creators of The Book. Santa falling makes me giggle every time. Created with @rive_app

Pour JDG, le kid des années 90-2000, on a voulu rendre hommage aux esthétiques marquantes de cette période; de la dreamcast à la 3D ignoble du Bigdil en passant par les graphismes de la PS1 & les animes japonais du Club Dorothée

I animated 7 shiny medals... and here’s a wrap-up summary of 2 weeks of grinding with the @TryMetafy team. It was totally an experiment for us, but as always, mistakes make you better! @rive_app
