@MikeWilnau Thereโs tons of maps available. The transplants in central and south Florida voted Donaldโs. The counties with more native Floridians voted Collins or other
@johncardillo He should have announced Guthrie sooner. That was a game changer for a lot of people, but too many had early voted or didnโt hear about it until it was too late.
Falling in line us what the Republican Party counts on.
Trump crowned Donalds almost 2 years ago. The Florida GOP set guidelines that even @GovRonDeSantis wouldn't have met when he was running for his first term. They took away debates, and then threatened punishment to any candidate who took part in debates not sanctioned by them.
If you are a member of the Republican Party and follow meekly along and accept what is being done, you are part of the problem. The party knows it can do whatever it wants, and members will fall in line and accept whatever they do.
This is not representation. They are supposed to serve us, not the other way around. If you truly think the Party is reflecting what you want for the state, fine.. you should support it and let your voices be heard. But.. if you don't, you should also speak out.
It saddens me that some of the most fervent advocates for fair party representation and for access to the debates necessary to make informed decisions have already flipped and are supporting/endorsing Donalds.
Nothing will ever change and we will be stuck with being TOLD who our elected officials will be from now on because they know people will roll over. They know the good little party members will accept whatever they're told to do.
Welp.. I'm out. I changed my party registration this morning to NPA. I think its time to send a message.. do you?
@Collinslayla@JoeyMannarino Your husband screwed over Kevin Guthrie and the state of Florida in the middle of hurricane season. Kevin was the ONLY reason I held my nose and voted for Jay.
@JordanSchachtel Fishback had young supporters, but not voters.
My little brother is in college and he and his friends liked Fishback, but they were all busy moving back to college when it came time to vote, so that plan was never a good one for Fishback.
@BeeBeeSunshine@florida_grand Exactly. He had nothing to lose. The surprising part was DeSantis immediately turning his back on Kevin after ALL that Kevin has done to save his ass over the years. If not for Kevin, DeSantis would have been left holding his dick in his hands during Ian, Idalia, Helene, etc
