My lab at Northwestern is hiring a technician! The job involves both lab management and independent research. No specific experience is required – we are searching for someone motivated to learn! Previous techs went on to top grad schools. Great location near Chicago. Please RT!
Can’t recommend highly enough!! Reach out if you have q’s about this job. I knew truly nothing about molecular bio before starting, but learned so much in this really supportive environment.
My department is hiring! We are searching in the area of quantitative biology (broadly defined), but we invite anyone who would complement the existing strengths of our multidisciplinary department to apply. Great location near Chicago - please RT! https://t.co/8czevC7sMC
Our new data show that plant centromeres can be engineered. We seeded CENH3 to synthetic repeat arrays, causing chromosome breakage. Fragments passed through meiosis formed neochromosomes with synthetic centromeres and were faithfully transmitted. https://t.co/zwmCv59Z93
CONGRATULATIONS to my colleague Alex Kelly @AlexKellyLab on his promotion to NIH Senior Investigator with tenure. This is a well-deserved recognition of his excellent contribution to the mitosis field. We wish him continued success!
