The $65 billion (with a b), 9 year contract between @TriWest and @Tricare that went into effect 1.1.25 was disputed in federal court last year. @HealthNetFedSvc said @triwest was not equipped to handle a contract of this magnitude. Seems like they were right. Isn’t this the type of waste, fraud and abuse we are supposed to be tackling? How is this not affecting military readiness? Now @triwest is making concessions for Prime members, but not Select? Make it make sense @DOGE @PeteHegseth
@DoD_DHA @elonmusk - this is easy to fix now

[NSA Cyber @NSACyber]

Effective Immediately, all organizations using PHP for their systems are advised to be prepared for an update addressing two critical vulnerabilities. PHP is widely used for web applications. These vulnerabilities often provide a direct path to the server's file system or database. If an immediate update is not feasible, it is recommend that organizations take the system offline until it can be fully mitigated. NSA will follow up shortly with more specific guidance.

Still one of the best moments in a business interview ever.

I was leading Heinz Ketchup when Dip N Squeeze came out.

It was a massive upgrade from ketchup packets. Consumers LOVED it.

Problem was we couldn’t get any of the big fast-food players on board.

Dip N Squeeze was 3-5x (I forget the exact numbers) more expensive than packets, and they were free for customers.

The key question was “does having Dip N Squeeze drive more volume?”, thus justifying the incremental cost.

It was nearly impossible to prove. Every penny matters to these operators, so every sales meeting was the same. “We love it, but no.”

Chick Fil A was the only yes.

They didn’t need “proof”. They operated under the assumption simply giving their customers a better experience would pay off in the long run. Incremental cost be damned.

Their conviction was impressive.

They viewed every decision thru the lens of their customer. A much different approach from the other big players.

I assume they treated countless other decisions the same way.

This was ~15 years ago. CFA has been on quite the run since.

(separate but related, I believe being a private co is a massive competitive advantage for CFA)

Medicare for All promises Americans healthcare without the bills. But doctors still need to be paid, hospitals still need funding, and treatments still cost money.

Someone has to decide what gets paid for, how much, and when. Under Medicare for All, that someone would be Washington.

Someone could probably write a book (if they haven’t already) about the cycle of technology productizing the removal of friction in the name of convenience only for us to discover that the friction was a load-bearing part of the social compact.

Camp Lejeune veterans and their families have been pleading for help for years. Their stories are heartbreaking.

I wrote about them here: https://t.co/CrLNJSa2T7

The president says here that he will only fund help for these families if his party does well in an election.

If you support this, you are in such a dark place.

A billionaire wanted a pardon. His family gave a $50 million deal to Alina Habba, a lawyer with close ties to President Trump. https://t.co/A36pRK4bnm

[Mike Nellis @MikeNellis]

NEWS: While working at Trump’s Justice Department, Alina Habba accepted a $50 million bribe to help a billionaire banker charged with bribery get a pardon from Trump. Weeks after she started cashing his checks, Trump handed him a full pardon, and nobody in this administration batted an eye. Lock them all up and throw away the key.

Nick Shirley is using this to sell T-shirts. If you turn your findings over to the authorities, you can't make money selling T-shirts and can't make videos that say "it's me"😂

[Genesis Neumann @GRKNeumann]

Then man up and expose the people you are standing next to @nickshirleyy you are just as bad as the fraudsters you are trying to take down. This is what we, in the biz, call selective moral outrage.

[Eric Daugherty @EricLDaugh]

🚨 JUST IN: Nick Shirley just dropped this line in the Oval Office flanked by President Trump, and it's PURE GOLD

"I want people to think about what is happening right now...me as a 24-year-old, I went out and exposed the fraud. I just was concerned about the well-being of our tax dollars. And right now, I'm standing next to the President of the United States." 🔥

"There's never been an incentive for anyone to ever expose fraud [until now]...when you expose fraud, you help save America. People understand that these fraudsters take from the poor needy who actually need the services that we all work hard to pay for, and we take that, and they then buy Mercedes!" @nickshirleyy

WELL-DESERVED FOR NICK.

A year ago, legacy media mocked him as a right-wing propagandist

Today he walked into the Oval Office with the first check for exposing fraud that the media IGNORED!!

Camera, microphone and passion for saving America. Let's freaking go.

Only on X.

The War on Fraud continues.

I’d like to report the federal government.

[Genesis Neumann @GRKNeumann]

We should report all the fraud insurance companies and state governments are committing too then when it comes to healthcare?! Lemme get out my spreadsheet…@DrOzCMS

Everything got worse after Covid. Restaurants are awful. Most of them go with cheaper ingredients now. It's obvious with food when a downgrade has happened, but everything is like this now. Just a total collapse in quality in every sector. Big reason for the bad vibes.

[New York Magazine @NYMag]

This past Valentine’s Day, 71-year-old Brad Reese, proud grandson of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups inventor H. B. Reese, posted a scathing open letter to the manager of corporate brand and editorial at Hershey, accusing the company of unforgivably altering many Reese’s products by replacing real chocolate with compound chocolate — basically using vegetable oils instead of cocoa butter to lower costs and replacing real peanut butter with “peanut-butter-style crèmes.”

“And Reese wasn’t alone in feeling like everything was getting worse,” writes Rachel Handler. “Everyone in my life I spoke to agreed that something was amiss, that Reese’s — and commercial chocolate in general — didn’t taste the way it used to.”

Handler would spend the next several months tumbling down a chocolate vortex, encountering dozens of eccentric characters, all disagreeing about the fundamental question of what chocolate even is and who it should be for.

“I learned that — not to sound like a LinkedIn guy — what’s going on with chocolate is a parable for the modern world. That at this particularly bleak end stage of capitalism, everything we once treasured has or will lose its essential essence and MrBeast will always be involved somehow.”

For our cover story, Handler takes a deep dive into the molten belly of the chocolate world. Read it in full: https://t.co/8W0TITn3In

The fact that the game continued after a stadium of people watched someone fall to their death speaks to the callousness our society has reached

There is no sport important enough to continue after such tragedy. My thoughts are w/ the family who had to watch the cheers to follow
