I’m really not sure what that larper was whining about. I recently completed another playthrough of Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix on XBOX and it wasn’t hard. I think the game has aged very well for the most part, and I originally beat it on PS3, which certainly didn’t run as well.
@DeeMagicGurl Your post is poking fun at people calling the poster “woke”, correct? I’m not MAGA, but the poster is hypocritical coming from a company that doesn’t actually care about diversity. I’m sorry if you’ve gotten hate, but I don’t think either one of us expected this to blow up.
@SantinaLula Splash Mountain IS African American folklore. It’s one thing if you don’t want to hear the truth, but spreading misinformation about this topic as a white person makes you a racist.
@ParapastaCD Depends on if they wanna axe Matterhorn, Autopia, and the Submarines in place of Igerslop. This wouldn’t mean that the park as a whole would suck, but losing three Walt-era classics would be disastrous.
@That1Passholder I agree middle management is an issue, but I don’t think that takes her out of the convo. I focused on her because she defends the layoffs, and while her salary is lower than other execs, it’s still a lot of money. If the company is in distress, their salaries should come first.
@PNS2CLT The ride retrack might have been costly, but the ride itself was low budget. The lights in the first cave feel cheap, and the finale is the biggest indicator that the project had a low budget. Doesn’t stack up to DL’s version unfortunately.
“But Buzz, BTM, and Muppets!”
These projects were all low budget. That doesn’t mean that they suck, but these aren’t investments worthy of price hikes. Not to mention that Buzz was in terrible shape prior to the rehash, so these changes were honestly the bare minimum.
When Nintendo was hit with a shitty financial situation, the CEO and several other execs cut their salaries to avoid layoffs. If Dana Walden makes 3.75 million dollars a year for her nothingburger job, why can’t she take a pay cut so people don’t get laid off? 🤔
I was not able to include this (character limit), but I think it’s worthy of its own post anyway. Disney has laid off THOUSANDS of staff, and Dana Walden’s response was absolutely embarrassing. How can CMs provide experiences for guests when they’re in fear of being laid off?
-Refillable shampoo bottles
-Magicbands are not free
-Fastpass is no longer free
-Resort hopping is limited
-Magical Express is gone
-Deluxe Resorts share buses
-No AP discount on drinks
-Crappy trashcans
-Generative AI usage
-Evening hours are for deluxe only
Great job Disney!
@DisTwitrPodcast Kids enjoy it though, and it’s been a staple of Tomorrowland since the park’s opening in 1971. I agree that Autopia is better, but I’d rather improve Speedway than replace it with an ugly showbuilding that’ll ruin the skyline of Tomorrowland and the views from PeopleMover.
