Testing out coding with gemini 2.5 pro instead of claude. The fact that it by default shows modifications to code when prompted for improvements instead of outputting the entire code again is a plus!
The software engineering aspect of deep learning repos I've been watching closely is how they store, catalogue, override, manage and plumb hyperparameter configs. Have come to dislike argparse, YAMLs (too inflexible), and fully enumerated kwargs on classes/defs. Any favorites?

@neiltyson The difference is that mass shootings have never inspired a single effective action to ensure that they never happen again. The equivalent would be if nobody worked on flu vaccines, or effective treatment, despite people needlessly dying from it.
The Great Hack On #Netflix is all about data rights but I found more disturbing something else in it: the idea that none of us, whether our data has been harvested or not, know when propaganda is propaganda anymore.
