Let's be honest, there is absolutely no political will to reduce the cost of housing in Australia, it's just about trying to find ways to get more people to own property at high prices. This applies to each side of politics too.
"We cannot allow, in a way that is akin to a Clockwork Orange, that the live-streamed genocide and its associated apathy desensitise us to the violence, normalise the oppression, dissociate us from its moral failure, or to legitimise the illegitimate. We cannot allow it to clockwork us into a conditioned acceptance of the unthinkable."
Netanyahu tries to denounce the International Criminal Court charges against him as antisemitic, but one of the lawyers who reviewed and approved of the charges was Theodor Meron, a highly respected jurist, Holocaust survivor, & past Israeli legal advisor. https://t.co/YKkFt0ga8V
Gentlemen in the audience hits the nail on the head
"I'm afraid you are gonna have to find me the world's smallest violin to tell me that you don't pay tax on an estate worth £5 Million"
This will only impact a small percentage of the wealthiest land owners

not to be the friend thats too woke but this is final stage capitalism––trump is appointing unqualified oligarchs to loot and plunder the country, enrich themselves and take what they can before peak climate disaster and citizen revolt. this is the last death rattle.
i hold extremist political views such as "people should have their basic needs met" and "war crimes are bad" and "we should not accelerate the apocalypse for the profits of a few oil companies"
The evidence is overwhelming that Gaza’s most celebrated doctor refused to leave his patients and was raped to death by Israeli soldiers in an Israeli prison
Let's be very clear about what we're seeing: Israel is turning Gaza into a series of smaller and smaller concentration camps. 2 million people corralled into so-called "humanitarian zones" of ~20% of the land (& attacked even there). Cut off from adequate food, water, medicine.
"Israeli" soldiers set fire to Mahdia Al-Shawa School in Beit Hanoun just right after the aid trucks arrived there, following more than forty days without food. They burned down the school and all the aid supplies, forcing the displaced people to evacuate by force.
In any normal world, and/or with any other country, this would be on the front page of every newspaper tomorrow morning and leading every news bulletin tonight. But it won't.
There is a very simple reason why the UK government refuses to acknowledge the genocide in Gaza.
If they did, they would be admitting their own complicity in one of the greatest crimes of our time.
End all arms sales to Israel, now.
Incredible work by @hrw confirming what scholars have been saying for months: Israel’s evacuation order do not comply with minimum international standards and they are rather part of a strategy to de-civilianise Gaza, constituting forced displacement as a crime against humanity
