On your way indeed @patrickjmcguire and @DuncombeSue to a huge challenge raising much needed research funding to help @CR_UK achieve 3in4 surviving cancer by 2034. We'll be with you in spirit every step of the way - you'll smash it!
Radiotherapy in palliative care
a Thread 🧵
One of the most important options for managing many symptoms of cancer in palliative care.
Collaboration with oncology colleagues is often so rewarding and such a vital part of our job
The people who brought us to this point are almost all, to a man, privately-educated. Born into immense privilege and wealth.
We don't need another referendum.
We need a revolution.
#BrexitHasFailed
I’m all for a free press…
But this scale of deception should never be allowed
Problem is, we have a piss-poor press regulator called IPSO
How poor?
Well, the Daily Mail’s Paul Dacre used to sit on its Editor’s Code Committee
That poor…
Now that Emily Maitlis is a 'free agent' I imagine she'll be less constrained with comments and criticisms of the establishment, both government and the @BBC who these days are frightened to speak out themselves. It's OUR BBC - keep your #handsoffTories!
@TomScorza They should put the ever more valuable water into reservoirs (build more if they don't have sufficient capacity - actually many of them are 3/4 empty) and the sewage into treatment plants (again, build more as necessary). There's a cost - stop paying CEOs and shareholders so much
The Telegraph reports 'the backlog would be one of Ms Truss's top three priorities in Downing Street'
These delayed docs must be at the top of the PM's in-tray:
👩⚕️10-Year Cancer Plan
⚖️Health Disparities White Paper
🚭Tobacco Control Plan

A former investment banker, he clearly understands the merits of making money, perhaps from water companies who lack a moral compass. Does Kettering have a coast? Nope. Is raw sewage dumped in his local water ways? I'd love to know. Does he care? Not a bit - just follows the whip
@grantshapps says he and his government (sic) won't get involved in the rail dispute, yet he repeatedly defends the management side when their blatantly punitive offers are rejected, making it impossible for meaningful negotiations. Legislation isn't the answer either!
So there we have it. No rain literally for weeks. Then we get the first downpour and water companies dump it at sea along with gallons of sewage instead of catching it in or diverting it to a reservoir. @SouthernWater and @Ofwat you should be deeply ashamed. You are clueless.
@thekevinwebber@ethansgrumps@ProstateUK Keep going Kevin and keep up the fundraising work. My PC, first suspected in late 2012 was confirmed Jan 2013. Running has been an essential element of staying positive. I'm still here after various treatments (radiation, drugs
chemo x2 & trials) but sadly not for much longer.
Thanks @MickLynch4AGS for breaking your silence on Facebook and spelling out the atrocious pay, terms and conditions that you're being 'offered'. Nobody in their right mind would accept these. I hope this is seen high and wide so the general public see why RMT decide to strike.
