This computer runs on living human brain cells!
This is the “first commercially available biological computer” made from human brain stem cells created in the laboratory.
The Australian startup @CorticalLabs has unveiled the world's first commercial biological computer (' CL1 '), running on living human cells.
CL1 is claimed to be capable of learning and adapting faster than standard silicon-based AI while too consuming much less energy.
“The only thing that has “General Intelligence”... is biological brains,” says Dr. Brett Kagan [@ANeuroExplorer], who created the computer with his team.

#HealthTech
Some scientists wonder whether these laboratory-grown neurons could eventually develop consciousness or an understanding of their condition. The technology is still in its early stages, but the Australian company claims to be working on the ethical question with specialists. Just in case.
