#YouthLeadership
On Friday 24th Oct, 2025, I was thrilled to have managed the #YouthMonth2025 Dialogue on Climate Action held at @KenyattaUni
Visioned: "Bridging Academia, Youth, and Policy" students presented bold UNEA-7 recommendations from Loss & Damage Finance to Sustainable AI.
We didn't just walk from @KWSKenya to @cuea_official. We marched.with a call to action for our future, for our livestock, and for our pastoralist communities. Their survival is not a promise to be broken, but a right to be fought for.
#OurVoiceOurFuture#DrawTheLine
In this Land,
Birthdays are not counted, but resilience is celebrated. this land measures childhood,
by droughts & conflicts survived,
by the herds returned home at dusk,
by footsteps heavy with thirst,
Yet, this land lights with unwritten dreams, and its people are a testament
The journey began with tending goats, and those who proved skilful would progress to herding cattle, which was considered the ultimate test of responsibility. However, losing even a single animal could earn a boy the label of 'fool' from his father. @climatestories2
In the our pastoralist communities of northern Kenya, a boy’s future was once determined by his ability to herd livestock. This would decide whether he would become a revered moran (warrior) or be sent to school. @midpkenya@IdrisDokota@ILRI@climatestories2
As we celebrate #WorldDesertificationDay2025,we stand with the pastoralist communities of Northern Kenya who have nurtured this land for generations. This year's theme, "Restore Land, Unlock Opportunities," is more than just a slogan for them; it's the story of their survival.
Today, as we gather to celebrate World Environment Day 2025, we do so with a renewed sense of urgency and purpose. Our theme, "Ending Plastic Pollution," is not just a slogan—it's a global call to action.
Every minute, the equivalent of one garbage truck of plastic enters our oceans. From the deepest trenches to the highest mountains, plastic waste is choking ecosystems, endangering wildlife, and threatening human health. But it doesn’t have to be this way.
We have the power to turn the tide. By changing our habits, holding producers accountable, and demanding sustainable alternatives, we can stop plastic pollution at its source.
Let’s say no to single-use plastics. Let’s support innovation and circular solutions. Let’s push for policies that protect our planet—not pollute it.
Ending plastic pollution starts with each of us—today, and every day.
For our oceans. For our children. For our future.
#BeatPlasticPollution #WorldEnvironmentDay2025 #PlasticFreeFuture
As we celebrate #WorldEnvironmentDay2025 we are reminded of the principles of #sustainability that advocate friendly lifestyles free from plastics. We owe this planet to future generations. The impacts of plastic pollution are everywhere, from cities to grassroots communities.
On this special #MadarakaDay2025, we are celebrating the unity, strength, and the resilience of the pastoral communities in the face of the Climate crisis. Today , we call for a shift in #ClimateCrisis discussions from the cities to the grassroots communities .
@EnviClimateC_Ke
Our Rivers flow from highlands through the cities, downward to the local communities. Today , we did a pre #WorldEnvironmentDay2025 event on cleaning KIU river along Githurai section with my fellow youth. Our #Rivers our responsibility.
@LamechLamarch25@Environment_Ke
Rivers connect's communities but plastic pollution affects them. A drop of water gives life while a piece of plastic can take the same. As we prepare for the #WorldEnvironmentDay2025 , there is a call to protecting our rivers from pollution. Our Rivers our responsibility.
