Scientists have developed an open-source microlens-array miniature microscope that can image the brains of freely moving mice with both a large field of view and cellular-level resolution. @NBIC_PKU@Orangeroad2017 https://t.co/LOJvfLWBMc
1/3 MIMAS is out in Science Advances: a 2.31-g open-source microlens-array miniscope for cellular-resolution imaging across ~4 × 4.5 mm² of dorsal cortex in freely behaving mice. https://t.co/tCtj8thGT8

We present #RIED, a new paradigm for excitation-free super-resolution microscopy.
We establish chemical super-resolution microscopy using electrochemiluminescence (ECL), chemiluminescence (CL), and bioluminescence (BL).

2nd Joint Meeting on Biolmaging! A great symposium with a great lines of speakers! Thanks to @SalameroJean and Laurent Bourdieu for working together to make it possible.👏
Congrats to everyone who has come along this far to make it happen! I have also written a detailed behind-the-paper story, summarizing the difficulties and the long journey to leave a permanent mark on my project that has taken the longest to accomplish! https://t.co/N6C7jErKvL
Our fourteen-year-old work is out in Nature Metabolism! Using zinc dye to image hundreds of insulin secretions within the intact islet, we reveal only a portion of islet b-cells exocytosis upon glucose stimulation (readily releasable b-cells).

Very happy to share a nice tool we recently developed, the #rFRCmetric, evaluating the super-resolution (SR) quality at the corresponding SR scale.
The upscaled resolvability of super-resolution imaging requires a more elaborate evaluation!

On my academic trip to Gottingen, I was delighted to meet Jorg and tour his department. Viewing the Great Man's Relics was also a fantastic experience!
A little advertisement for the third HuaiRou Forum, focusing on future technologies and talents. Here is the list of international speakers. We also have an equally good list of Chinese speakers. Welcome to join😀
Researchers introduce a new method for high-resolution light field #Microscopy#LFM, demonstrated for fast live cell imaging of single cells with resolution between 300-700 nm in each dimension. Learn more: https://t.co/wkPmWum2f7
Cool email this morning from LabMaker that they're selling the MiniLFOV now ($3.5k). Not affiliated, but enough people have asked if they can purchase it, here's an option:

"Hippocampal place cell remapping occurs with memory storage of aversive experiences"
How are place cells affected by aversive learning, and what happens when we block said learning?🧵
