Sparkle Sooknanan was born in Trinidad. She just blocked the Administration from using a federal database to check citizenship data for voters.

A foreign-born judge blocking efforts to verify American elections are decided by American citizens.

This is exactly why we introduced a Constitutional Amendment to ban foreign-born individuals from serving in Congress, on the federal bench, or in Senate-confirmed positions.

This is not about where someone was born. This is about who they serve.

72% of the population voted for the legislative audit. It was ignored for 1.5 years and then killed by the legislators, the target of the audit.

66% of voters polled approved of reducing the state income tax from 5% to 4%. It was killed by a team effort of AG Campbell and the Supreme Court which happens to have one of Gov. Healey’s ex-girlfriends on it, who she appointed.

Your legislators get free office space rent in government buildings even though it’s against campaign finance and ethics laws and rules. They also get $22-$29k in office and travel stipends. Non-incumbents must pay for their office space.

MA voters approved a constitutional change that forced legislative pay rises to be tied to inflation. Years later they gave themselves a $20k “leadership pay” for each committee they chair. Some chaired multiple committees and got $40k a year raises. Peasants don’t get to decide what royalty does with the treasury.

Massachusetts is the only state where your governor and legislators are exempt from public information requests.

Ironically, we’ve held three no Kings protests against Trump and Gov. Healey has a 58% approval rating. #Mapoli

There is a reason the fight over the audit law has dragged on for over a year, despite being approved by 72% of voters.

The original ballot question was clear and it passed overwhelmingly.

Massachusetts voters did not ask for a negotiated audit, a limited review, or for the Legislature to define its own terms.

The people approved an independent audit of the Legislature.

Now, the response from Beacon Hill is a bill that:

• Narrows the scope of what can be examined
• Allows the Legislature to decide what records will be provided
• Prevents courts from stepping in when disputes arise

Who has ever heard of an independent audit where the entity being audited gets to decide what can be investigated?

At the same time, lawmakers are presenting this as a “transparency package.”

But even they acknowledge that many of the “new” public records provisions simply codify documents that are already available today.

So what is actually changing? The audit.

And that is exactly where the restrictions are being added.

As Auditor @DianaDiZoglio warns in this clip, this is not an expansion of transparency. It is a restructuring of a voter mandate into something Beacon Hill can define, limit, and control.

For the people of our state, the core question is straightforward:

Should the Legislature be able to redefine a law that 72% of voters already passed when it becomes inconvenient?

The Barnstable County Assembly of Delegates met yesterday to discuss an ordinance aimed at further restricting ICE operations on Cape Cod.

This man said what millions of Americans are thinking but are too afraid to say out loud:

“I am not an uncompassionate individual. But my generosity has been abused, and I am sick of it! I am sick of being treated as an indentured servant to foreign nationals in my country and in my community. And I don't give a damn whose feelings that hurts.”
