Nobody would object, not in San Francisco, not in London, not in Boston, not in Berlin, if we proposed to build something like this. Instead we fight to put up square boxes of disposable architecture and wonder why our neighbors hates us and our communities are dying?
Jeanne de Clisson was a 14th century Breton noblewoman who, initially loyal to France, switched sides after the French executed her husband. She equipped ships to raid French coastal settlements, and slaughtered the crews of any French ship she captured.
“Forget everything else. Keep hold of this alone and remember it: Each of us lives only now, this brief instant. The rest has been lived already, or is impossible to see.” Marcus Aurelius
The logic most 18-24 year olds have is stupid
"I'll work hard later, now is time to enjoy my youth"
No you idiot.
You are trading decades of true freedom for 5 years of going to the same bar every weekend.
AWFUL TRADE
"I don't know doc I'm just super stressed all the time. I must have anxiety! I feel like there is so much to do and not enough time and everyone expects something is me. I just can come concentrate anymore. I'm so frazzled! Can you help me!?"

Too much sugar leads to a heavy body, and too many distractions lead to a heavy mind.
Time spent undistracted and alone, in self-examination, journaling, meditation, resolves the unresolved and takes us from mentally fat to fit.
Buy high quality, long lasting products and wear them out.
This is far better in the long run than cycling through cheap junk.
Also, surrounding yourself with quality things creates an energy/atmosphere that carries over into all areas of life.
Humans are inherently social creatures but technology has increased our social connectivity to nauseating new extremes.
Everyone wants a piece of your attention and the demand cannot be met. Even the most social among us suffer or get stuck in feedback loops.
