Welp, that was a magical response. The salt truck. And through about 4 min after I posted this! Next time maybe a day or two sooner, please? Thanks!! 🙏
Hello @DCDPW and @CMLewisGeorgeW4: my street Marlboro PlacE NW remains a sheet of ice 3 days after the storm. No plowing, no salt. Can someone please come salt it before the next storm? We have a number of older folks on the street and I’m terrified to drive on the ice sheet.
Pedestrian fatalities are up by a staggering 75 percent since 2010, reaching a 40-year high!

This is such an inspiring story of one of my favorite DC neighborhoods coming together to build community and keep kids safe. Let's do it everywhere! Thanks to @BrianneKNadeau and @CMLewisGeorgeW4 and @ddotdc for supporting these efforts! https://t.co/9Pdf25rw1i
Hi @DCDPW our tiny street never gets plowed — and now it’s a sheet of ice. Can you pls send a salt truck to Marlboro Place NW? It’s solid ice! Thx! @CMLewisGeorgeW4

Because in #dc, it’s all good for pedestrians and folks in wheelchairs and strollers to have to suddenly cross the street mid-block with no notice. What the heck. 3300 block of 11th Street NW. @DDOTDC@BrianneKNadeau
Let’s all agree: #snowdays are for enough snow for sledding or stomping around. Not for <1in. If @dcps or @DCPSChancellor closes schools for anything less again, can we agree to throw a royal fit? We can all walk, bike, or Metro to school in any weather. Let’s not be ridiculous.
Thrilled to hear the brilliant #TimTompkins mention need for place management to focus on building equity in places with lower density/prop values, the role cities play in climate change, and the innovation needed for managing new public spaces. @GUGlobalCities@IntlDwtnAssoc
