A hamartoma is a disorganized mix of overgrown normal tissues (in their normal location) that creates a mass. Good news: they are benign!

Both lesions have the look of reactive bone separated by cellular stroma, but differ by the presence (Osteofibrous Dysplasia) or absence (Fibrous Dysplasia) of osteoblastic rimming.
Both are benign and can be distinguished from adamantinoma & osteosarcoma by the absence of +keratin islands & absence of MDM2 amplification, respectively.
