Linda was a true champion for children. I always could count on her for student-centered advice, insight and partnership over the years and will miss her dearly.
We are sad to announce that our friend, mentor and boss, Dr. Linda Gilbert, passed away earlier this afternoon. Dr. Gilbert has served MCS & the community with compassion and fervor for many years. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother and educator and will be truly missed.

SBE vice chair, @RobertEby15, and executive director, @HeySaraMorrison join Dr. Mason Bellamy of @cmcssinfo in a discussion on teacher residency programs to meet district needs.
@SBEd_TN @DaleLynchTOSS Appreciate the partnership between TN State Board of Ed and TOSS to protect the safety of students and the standards of our profession. Educating children is the hardest, most important work we do and the actions of a few should not color the reputation of the many.
@NCTQ@EdTrust@TNTP Very excited to see TN programs improving on this year’s educator prep report card. In particular, check out metrics on teacher diversity and hard to staff areas. https://t.co/GHr0hn1pzO
This year, we had a Board member join our advisory council, in addition to representatives from our partner state agencies.
