@tunguz I miss the 'It's over' narrative. Yea, most companies will not be significantly affected by AI. Most processes are human and have no need for AIs.

the pattern i've been seeing is: devs do work faster and things really come out sooner.

But everyone is still bottlenecked by POs and PMs who delay the teams bc they demand to participate in Plannings and Approavals and so on, and they already have too many meetings. Human side of products... it is not just the implemmentation.

It's probably accelerating from here. More code, more software engineers. More apps, more SaaS usage and revenue. More cloud consumption. And a whole lot of tokens through it all.

If the cost of hiring software engineers was previously a bottleneck on software deployment, then making it cheaper to ship code means the entire software ecosystem will start to grow faster.
