@gaffneyamy I was 17 in 1988 when I had my first baby. Had she been born a year earlier, she would have been classed as 'illegitimate '. I was in receipt of 'Unmarried Mothers Allowance' for a while. grateful she & I didn't experience the torture so many before us did. Bless them all.
