Did a post recently about nice normals for inflating and deflating mesh inside #Houdini. @PaleoPixels gave the suggestion to do it with vex and so I did... All I can say is, what a great learning experience. You can find the code in the description, enjoy :)

What a journey so far, theirs is always something new to learn :) I can't wait to see what the future brings!

Procedural “Cooling” Tower project but the cooling didn’t help while trying to render some shots 😅
Still had a lot of fun though.
Like and retweet if you would like to see a breakdown

FREE project available “Ladder Generator” Showcasing 3 methods on how to create ladders, from using no VEX to only using VEX. Thanks to @probiner for helping me with some of the VEX problems! #Houdini@sidefx@sidefxlabs

@IamTheR00 @PaleoPixels @sidefx@sidefxlabs The vex isn't scary series on YouTube from Nine Between is a good start to get some foundations or the vex for algorithmic design from @jhorikawa_err
@druzeeee@cdordelly @PaleoPixels @sidefx@sidefxlabs @TangenTu Followed it as well. Was Interesting to learn how he did it with quaternions. Here is one with just using nodes https://t.co/2tIwS8dE2j
//Apply angles to normal based on cross-product direction
vector cproc = cross(dir1,dir2);
float up = cproc.y;
if(up > 0){
v@N = ang2;
}else{
v@N = ang1;
}
