Two days ago, I had the privilege of speaking at the Book Launch hosted by the Economic and Social Research Foundation (ESRF) in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The book, "Cancer Care in Pandemic Times: Building Inclusive Local Health Security in Africa and India," highlights the urgent need to fortify health systems capable of withstanding and swiftly recovering from future pandemics. I emphasized that the current crises are not the last, stressing the critical importance of building resilient health infrastructure for the future.
