@pete_shearer@CWLemoine Tell the whole story.
"Calculations were carried out using the metric system, but..."
Using metric meant fewer calculations thus optimizing the use of the limited processing power.
@Prusa3D Since the CoreONE+ INDX became a 'thing' behind the scenes, and before public announcement, the XL has been put in the corner; effectively like the unwanted step-child.
The CoreONE+ INDX does not meet my needs anyway as the print bed is too small.
@Prusa3D Yet @Prusa3D continue to ignore it's glaring flaws, the long standing GitHub cases, the significant community developed hardware fixes and just plain ignore their creators.
It's still my 'go to' for MM and multi-colour, but it's taken hundreds of hours of my R&D to get it there.
@computer22@josefprusa@loyalmoses 2/2 A couple of months later they changed their tune, but no notice to the community or attribution.
Since then I've gone on to release multiple fixes for the XL's deficiencies, which the community have screamed about, and haven't heard a peep from Prusas on any of them.
@computer22@josefprusa@loyalmoses 1/2 Could not agree more.
Gave up on Prusas Support. Opened an account with the linear rail manufacturer so that I could get access to their technical documents.
Proved to support their published linear rail and internal support doco was wrong and that one of mine was faulty.
@CanuckCreator@Prusa3D These settings will help stop the supports sagging and/or potentially failing. Makes a big difference when you have tall supports or the supports have a fair bit of weight on them.
Add a sheath around the supports and increase the support extrusion width by 0.02-0.06mm.
@DIYMaker_Johan@Booleans_Things@LDOMOTORSJASON That isn't long enough. You need to dry filament till it gets below ~20% humidity and keep it there for ~24hrs.
6-8hrs is only long enough to dry the outer layer of the spool.
You will get some smoke of filaments like PC and ASA. That VOCs coming off them.
@ZombieHedgehog_@lost_in_tech I've had mine for going on 2 years.
It's extremely reliable and consistent.
It's issues are not tool changer related. They're things like poor part cooling, poor electronics cooling and other minor silly design decisions.
For multi-colour and multi-material it's been great.
