@Nasr_Amer1 Thank you for putting your ignorance on display. It is instructive to hear you celebrating as you destroy your own #environment and add to the 400,000 #Muslim Arab deaths you have already caused. Why do you hate #Yemen? Why do you want #Yemenis to suffer? #HouthisareHypocrites
Dr. Ian Ralby’s (@ImRalby CEO of I.R. Consilium) testimony during an informal hearing today at the US Federal Maritime Commission on the impact of current conditions in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.
Dr. Ian Ralby, @ImRalby CEO of I.R. Consilium, testimony during a hearing today at the US Congress titled “Menace on the Red Sea: Securing Shipping Against Threats in the Red Sea”
From @IRConsilium "the Red Sea won’t be made safe by simply transferring the SAFER’s cargo to the NAUTICA. Safety will only come when the NAUTICA moves out of the area and the offshore portion of the Marib-Ras Isa pipeline is drained and capped." https://t.co/6xxUCuqNuG 2/x
@SalishSeaFuture@IMOHQ You are correct- there is no plan in place. The funding for the operation is not complete, nor is the planning. We want to see the oil off the SAFER, but see it done well, so we are hoping the UN finds sense and thinks through this operation more fully!
Maritime Security continues to be a priority in the CARICOM Region. Thank you @ImRalby for taking the time today to work with @CImpacs on this important initiative
This is an excellent & important piece on the need for rigor in analysis. Dr. David Soud looks at how inexpert reporting by @CNN on #gold led to real & dangerous consequences for #Sudan. Serious journalism cannot afford to be overrun by uninformed opinion.

@AXMbrewer @Twitter@hogrbe Not sure where you got your numbers, but even if there are now 100,000 rescue workers, it is more than 100 hours since the quake, and the likelihood of finding survivors is slim. On Tuesday, during the critical window, there were more dead bodies than rescuers amid the rubble.
It was here on @Twitter that #Turkey and #Syria were warned by @hogrbe on 3 Feb that an #earthquake was coming in a region that has contributed more than $35billion in taxes to fund earthquake preparedness. Why has Turkey's response been so inadequate?
